Fiddlehead Studio has incorporated the Old World technique of terrazzo into their line of jewelry, The Terrazzo Collection. Small batches of terrazzo are cast directly into sterling sliver or white gold bezels. The terrazzo consists of a combination of reclaimed marble , recycled glass, and sterling silver filings. After curing for 2 weeks, pieces undergo 5 stages of hand-polishing. This polishing technique reveals the colored matrix of marble, glass, and precious metals. Terrazzo components are then used in conjunction with Sterling Silver or white gold and semi-precious stones to form a timeless handcrafted piece.
